A radicchio is a rose is a radicchio...

is a rose

and sometimes it looks like meat!

a veritable treat!
though not so very sweet...

in a salad or a skillet,
you can grill it to perfection,
a chicory confection
to fit your predilection!

Nice poem, Katrina. It's almost as good as your other one. http://www.poetry.com/dotnet/P8560199/999/1/display.aspx

Ooh, Steven -- classic older sibling behavior.

In the name of poetic justice, I officially declare an end to my embarrassingly long vegetative state. More soon!

And yes, I can read. You're one of those ph Stevens. In my passionate state, I just forgot.

Can we please not cite any url's directly so as not to boost their google status? And like I said before, my only public, non-pseudonymous poems are about vegetables. I eagerly await the return of the eek. Let the vegetable edumacation begin!

Looks great and radicchio is so good for you. When examined solely for its antioxidant capabilities, radiccio is an antioxidant powerhouse compared to other fruits and vegetables.
